Prior to his current path, Raphael was an award-winning screenwriter and director. Sexual Healing, which he wrote, produced and directed, won Grand Prize at the Houston Film Festival and was nominated for two Cable Ace Awards. The film was designed as a benefit for the Minority AIDS Project and has raised over $30,000 to date.

Anthony Edwards plays a frustrated single man and Helen Hunt plays an unhappily married woman. The two fall in love by accident over a phone sex line and then have to decide whether to meet in person. Helen Hunt's husband is played by Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, and Anthony Edwards' best friend is played by Maggie Wheeler - Janice on Friends. The film is an "R" rated love story that explores a seemingly seedy subject from a surprisingly touching angle.

Due to contractual issues and the length of the film (forty two minutes), it has never been available on DVD. Now it has become available, but only through this website.
